The principal is an ex nun, so I have a feeling it may not go smoothly but I will give it a go as would rather he didn´t spend time on this subject.

My son is just about to start secondary school. It seems a great forum I have to say. I am after some advice...I couldnt see anything on it elsewhere, so here goes. We are not religious at all. I would like my son to opt out of religious education completely. Can I send a note in to the principal? on his first day saying that I dont want him to do RE and to do study instead?
