Hello Shane & Kastym thanks for your question and scepticism on the left handed pens ,
The reason there is a difference is because of the way a Left hander uses them. As a right hander you write from left to right, pulling the pen/pencil across the page the way pens are designed to work. While Left handers push the pen/pencil across the page and because of this the pen/pencil can rip into the page and the person will smudge there hand writing as there hand will be running over what they are writing, this can be very demotivating to a child learning to write neatly.
Studies have shown Left handed children in general take longer in school to learn how to write then there right handed school mates, as they have trouble adopting the correct grip and position of a pencil.
Teachers say if a child adopts the correct TRI-GRIP (using the thumb, middle and forefinger) they will learn to write quicker and suffer less strain on there hands now and in later years , as many left handers hold pens in a hooked shape so they can see what they are writing.

Where can I get some left handed pencils in Dublin please? My left handed daughter just wrote with a L/H pen and the difference was amazing. She was very stressed starting homework but by the end she wanted to keep writing but only allowed pencils in school.
