Parenting

Becoming a parent is perhaps one of the most important and challenging things most of us will ever get the chance to do. Children are an incredible source of life, discovery, and fun and give us the opportunity to reflect on what is important, and real, in life. Each stage in a childs development brings a different set of challenges for parents, whether it's coping with toddlers tantrums, kids or teens. At one stage or another most parents will be at their wits end as to how to help, support or discipline their kids.

There's plenty of help out there but it can sometimes be hard to find at the very time you need it. So we've taken the opportunity to detail for you the range of supports out there so that when you reach the end of your tether you know where to go for advice. We will also continuously be updating this section with parenting articles and tips:

One idea is to contact your local health centre (perhaps the local public health nurse and social worker) who may know of classes in the local area.
